The wave panel was created for the fine dining restaurant N-Bar in collaboration with interior designer Sumessh Menon. The 32′ long panel was broken into four parts and textured brass sheets were upholstered onto bent plywood. The texture is reminiscent of the Art Deco motif of waves given Mumbai’s proximity to the sea and the fact that it is one of the cities with the highest concentration of Art Deco architecture in the world. The end result is a stunning wall mural which adds soft sophisticated movement to an otherwise static wall and is in sympathy with the location.
